PIDLY :P palak(spinach) n idly batter combined

Ingredients:

  • 1 Cup Urad Dal
  • 2 Cups Idli Rawa
  • 2 Bunches Spinach
  • 1 Tsp Cumin Seeds
  • Salt to Taste

Recipe:

Soak urad Dal and idli rawa separately for three to four hours. Drain and grind the urad Dal along with salt, sprinkling water as required, to a smooth and spongy batter and keep it ready.Blanch the spinach leaves in boiling water for two to three minutes. Refresh under cold water, blend and keep it ready.Drain idli rawa. Mix all the three ingredients with some cumin seeds and keep the batter in a large vessel, close tightly and rest in a warm place overnight.Pour into lightly oiled idli moulds; steam till the idlis are done. Serve the idlis with any chutney.NOTE: here i have fried with some chopped onions one may fry or with other veggies too.
